TAYLOR CAMPBELL

Taylor spent her childhood in a small suburb of Des Moines, IA. She attended Camp Hantesa starting at 6 years old, and this summer art camp became her home away from home. She graduated from the Apprentice Program when she was 17, which helped develop her love for children, art, and the outdoors. After graduating high school, she was accepted into Iowa State University’s College of Design Integrated Studio Arts program. This major had an all-around approach to the arts, requiring classes such as printmaking, ceramics, textiles, painting, drawing, woodworking, metals/jewelry, graphic design, etc. She continued working at summer camps for the next 4 years, earning her Vagabond honor in the process and getting promoted to Creative Director. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree (and a minor in Advertising) she spent the next couple of years working in a small furniture design studio as a woodburner. Currently, she is living in Gypsum with her fiancé Jake and their dog Indie. You can find TJ (Taylor&Jake) artwork throughout the valley, including the Art Center’s gallery! Taylor’s Portfolio
